Season I, week 2: Lübeck Bay Seagulls 14, MoRe's Moles 17 (Final)The Moles' QB threw a 5-yd TD pass with the last play of the game to lift his team to an improbable 17-14 win over the Lübeck Bay Seagulls (0-2) in an All-Gothic encounter.
MoRe's Moles are the only team from the Gothic Division to start the season 2-0 after thrilling their home crowd once again with their second come-from-behind, last-second win in as many games at the Moles Hill.
Trailing by four points with only one timeout and 1:36 minutes to work with, the Moles took over at their own 9-yd line. With two runs for 7 and 10 yds and two deep completions for 37 and 32 yds, they quickly reached the 5-yd line where they called their final timeout with 24 seconds left on the game clock. After an incompletion on 1st-and-Goal, the Moles' QB found a receiver in the end zone to pull out victory. The Moles had covered 91 yds with only six plays.
Like they did in the previous week, the Seagulls clearly outgained the opposition but could not hang on to a lead. Their QB completed 19-of-25 for 207 yds and a 10-yd TD pass early in the second quarter to give the Seagulls a 14-0 lead. Still leading 14-10 late in the third quarter, they opted to go for it on 4th-and-Goal from the 2 but were stopped for loss in the backfield.
The Moles' QB completed 10-of-19 for 167 yds including 3-of-4 for 74 yds and his only TD during the game-winning drive.
