Reds reach Two-Minute Cup elimination final

duffeldoffel's Reds set a new Two-Minute-Cup record scoring two TDs plus 13 yds during their two-minute possession to see off frontmodes Kobras in the elimination semifinal.

The Kobras' offense looked potent as well contributing 60 yds to a Two-Minute-Cup record 233 yds combined but the Reds' offense managed to play the maximum of 10 plays, eight of which for 13 yds or more.

The Reds started with a nice 28-yd completion before two consecutive incompletions gave the Kobras' defense hope to stop the Reds and give their offense a reasonable chance to pull out a win. But on 3rd-and-10, the Reds' RB broke through and romped 52 yds into the end zone with 1:12 minutes of possession left.

Starting over from their own 20, the Reds' QB threw an incompletion before completing passes for 28, 26 and 13 yds. With another 13-yd toss, the Reds reached the Kobras' end zone for a second time and as they had used their timeouts wisely, they even had time to start over from their 20 yet again. They finished their two-minute possession with their third consecutive 13-yd completion.

Even though their defense had left them in an almost hopeless situation, the Kobras' offense were determined to try their best. They started with runs for 20 and 15 yds but their runners could not make it to the sideline to stop the clock. On their third play, their QB was sacked. With two more long runs for 25 and 10 yds, the Kobras reached the Reds' 20 but with only 12 seconds left on the clock, the game was all but done and another incompletion sealed victory for the Reds.

The Reds will play the Dicey Beasts in the elimination final hoping to secure a cup-final berth and take revenge for a loss in the second qualifying round.
