Recap
Reds advance as Sparrows fail to call timeoutIn a game of defensive domination, duffeldoffel's Reds beat Niners Sparrows on an awarded point to advance to the elimination final of the Two-Minute Cup.
The Sparrows had two runs for no gain with a 4-yd pass and a 2-yd run in between to finish their possession with a four-and-out at their own 26-yd line.
Still, they had a chance to win the game as the Reds gained zero net yards on their first two plays including a 5-yd illegal-shift call cancelling out an 8-yd run that would have gotten the Reds past the line required. Still, the Reds were lucky on that play as the Sparrows failed to recover a fumble that would have won them the game. On the next play, the Reds' QB threw a 7-yd pass to give his team a 1-yd lead.
With a 2-yd run, the Reds extended their lead to 3 yds and surprisingly managed to let the clock run out as the Sparrows failed to call a timeout thus denying their defense a chance to push the Reds back on two more plays.
