Season II, week 2: Dicey Beasts 26, silentsound's Silentknights 17 (Final)The Dicey Beasts (1-1) bounced back from their season-opening defeat while silentsound's Silentknights (0-2) face an uphill battle to get back into the playoff hunt.
Their QB completed a franchise record 74.1 percent for 267 yds and their RBs ran in three TDs as the Beasts beat the 'Knights 26-17 at Silent Field Stadium.
The game was over when the Beasts RB scored his third TD from 19 yds out with three minutes left to play. Three minutes earlier, a Beasts defender had intercepted a pass and returned the ball 22 yds to the 'Knights' 34-yd line.
After trailing 19-7 at halftime, the 'Knights came within two points on a 1-yd TD run with 9:12 left to play. A three-and-out on the Beasts' ensuing possession got the 'Knights in position for a comeback before a short pass was picked off.
Late in the first quarter, the 'Knights QB was sacked in the end zone for a safety, and five plays later, the Beasts stormed ahead 16-7 when their RB QB ran in his second TD with the final play of the period.
The 'Knights RB had tied the game at 7-7 on a 45-yd scoring run but their rushing attack yielded an average of only 3.2 yds with their remaining 26 carries.
Both teams had four fumbles losing none of them. The Beasts scored 10-0 points off turnovers.
