Regular-season game: Moles miss out on the playoffs (2 January 2011)
Season I, week 6: SimKonville Fraggles 24, MoRe's Moles 34 (Final)MoRe's Moles (3-3) snapped a three-game losing streak with a 34-24 win over the SimKonville Fraggles (1-5). They remained unbeaten at home but their season ended as they did not get all the help they needed from other teams.
The Fraggles took a 24-23 lead on a 23-yd TD pass with the final play of the third quarter. But the Moles replied with 10-play, 66-yd scoring drive capped by a 1-yd TD plunge plus two-point conversion to reclaim the lead.
The Fraggles reached the Moles' 23 on their next drive but lost a fumble. They quickly got the ball back when their defense forced and recovered a fumble near midfield but their offense turned the ball over on downs.
The game was over when the Moles' kicker scored a 24-yd FG with 3:48 left to play and the Fraggles ended their season with three straight losses.
The Moles started the game with two quick touchdowns. They scored a 50-yd run on their third play from scrimmage and a little more than two minutes later, a Moles' defender returned an interception for 24 yds into the endzone.
The Moles defense contributed with two sacks, two interceptions, a fumble recovery and a TD to the win.
With a 19-yd TD run and an 86-yd kickoff-return TD after a Moles' FG, the Fraggles cut their deficit down to two points at halftime. In the middle of the third quarter, they even took the lead for the first time on a 20-yd FG.
The Moles' QB completed 12-of-19 for 209 yds including a 30-yd TD pass in the third quarter to give the Moles a 23-17 lead.
The Moles got the help they needed from silentsound's Silentknights (against frontmodes Kobras) but the Dicey Beasts beat zugschefz dieselz who got passed the Moles on the strength-of-victory tiebreaker.
