Regular-season game: Reds blow out Fraggles (4 February 2010)
Season I, week 2: SimKonville Fraggles 7, duffeldoffel's Reds 37 (Final)duffeldoffel's Reds (1-1) put their season-opening loss behind blowing the SimKonville Fraggles (0-2) out of Stanley Park 37-7 in an All-Australian matchup.
After a dismal season-opening performance, the Reds' QB "danced his cares away" against the Fraggles throwing four TD passes including three in the first half. He completed 16-of-22 for 147 yds and a stellar 130.1 passer rating.
The Reds were stopped on their first two possessions but then had consecutive scoring drives for 80, 58 and 54 to build a comfortable 21-0 halftime lead.
While the Fraggles' defense had a hard time, the Reds' defense stood very tall allowing only 57 yds on total offense and five first downs. An interception early in the third quarter set up a fourth consecutive TD drive for the Reds.
The Reds converted 10-of-16 third downs and 1-of-2 fourth downs. When the game was still scoreless, they were stopped on a 4th-and-1 at the opponents' 38-yd line in the middle of the first quarter. On their next possession, their QB threw his first TD pass on a 4th-and-3 from the 7.
Already trailing by 28 early in the third quarter, the Fraggles' got their only score returning a kickoff for 98 yds into the end zone.
