- Drinkers reach their first QFL Cup final
The Moderate Drinkers earned a chance to win their first title in franchise history reaching the QFL Go-4-9 Cup final at the expense of igorz malfunxionistz.
As the did in their quarterfinal, the Drinkers needed only one nice drive to clinch victory. They started at their own 20 and needed only four plays to reach the opponents' 5-yd line where the Malfs' defense stood tall and forced the Drinkers to settle for a field goal.
The Drinkers would not get another new first down but their defense held the opposition in check well enough to clinch a Cup-final berth.
The Malfs had their best chance to tie the game when they reached the Drinkers' 36 on their first possession. But on 4th-and-1, their QBs pass fell incomplete and the Malfs came up empty.
The Drinkers' RB ran had 5 carries for 64 yds including a 70-yarder as the key play of the opening possession.
