Green Dungeon turns red

The Reds' QB completed 22-of-23 and threw three first-half TDs as duffeldoffel's Reds (2-1) beat division rivals Dicey Beasts (1-2) 32-19 on the road.

The Reds dominated the opposition in all areas of the game in the first half and built and towering 24-0 halftime lead taking advantage of a muffed punt, strong defensive play and a clutch passing game. The opening score came with the second play after the Reds had recovered a muffed punt at the 7-yd line early in the first quarter.

The Reds' second scoring drive included only two plays as well as their QB set up his second short TD pass with a 41-yd completion to the 8-yd line. The Reds' QB threw for a total of 191 yds and finished the game with a stellar 140.9 passer rating.

The Beasts seemed to catch a break when they forced and recovered a fumble at their own 3-yd line to terminate a 77-yd drive. However, a three-and-out led to the Reds' second TD, and on their next possession, they failed to convert a 4th-and-5 near midfield leading to the Reds' third TD drive.

The Reds' kicker scored on a pair of FGs to complete a streak of 27 unanswered points before the Beasts finally put some points on the board when their RB ran into the end zone from 69 yds out. The Beasts' RBs ran for a total of 268 yds and had another TD run in the fourth quarter when the game was already out of reach.

The Beasts' no-huddle offense racked up 191 yds in the second quarter but it was just too little, too late against a Reds' defense who would not allow quick scores, caught an interception and closed the score on a tackle for loss for a safety.
